Christmas 2008

What a great Christmas 2008 it has been. It all started with my mom's fabulous Christmas party which consisted of Amazing Race and lots of great presents. Then it was my Grandma Reid's party (boring), my Grandma Hansen's party full of fun sledding, warm fire, and great company. Finally we ended our parting at the Larsen's where the kids got to open PJ's!
Christmas morning was the best. Kade LOVED all of his toys, although he informed me that Santa forgot a race car track! His favorite toys were his train track, trampoline, and roller coaster ride. Tyce loved everything. He went from one toy to the next and didn't stop playing all day. His favorite toy was his musical jungle. My favorite toy was my new fat baby boots, my new Nike's and my new camera. Kyle got a gun and new binoculars.
Christmas was great! I am sad that it is already over. I hope that you all had a fun Christmas too!

Christmas Party #1

This past Sunday was my mom's famous Christmas party. To start off the day we played Amazing Race. My mom had all of these clues and road blocks hidden all over town for us to accomplish with our team. For instance, we had to find clues in balloons, shoot hoops at the Elementary school, pull each other around a barrel with a 4-wheeler and a sled at the farm, toss Frisbee's through tires, have someone take a picture of us by a Christmas scene, and make snow angels in the Senior Citizen Center lawn. We were all separated into teams and I was stuck with two small children. My team ended up coming in very last place but we had a blast.
Our next event of the day was a huge lunch followed by games and a talent show at the Jr. High. After we had wore ourselves clear out, we went back to my moms for presents and more food. The party was so much fun. Thanks mom for all the hard work!

Kade got this bike from my mom for Christmas but I think that Tyce is going to fight him for it.

Tyce's Birthday Party

Today was Tyce's birthday party. I decided to have a bug birthday and it turned out to be so much fun. We played all sorts of bug games and I made a super cute caterpillar cake. The birthday party was a hit. Thanks to all of Tyce's cousins for coming to the party.

Tyce thought that his cake was pretty cool

Tyce's favorite part about his birthday was eating the cake and ice cream. He had 2 pieces of cake, and 2 scoops of ice cream. Good thing Grandma Jo was there to help him eat it.

Happy 1st Birthday Tyce

Today is Tyce's first birthday. I can't believe how fast he has grown. I can remember when he was born like it was yesterday.

Tyce has been such a joy to our family. I don't know what we would have done without him. He has the cutest personality ever. He is so happy-go- lucky and is quite the tease. He loves to play with Kade and he loves the horses. He is always smiling with his cute little smile and his laugh is addicting. We love you little guy!!

Swimming and Sledding

Yesterday we went swimming at the Wave Pool in Price for Kyle's work party. We had all the Pizza we could eat and Santa came too. We had a lot of fun.
Today we decided to go out and play in the snow. Kyle pulled the kids around with the 4-wheeler after Kade helped Kyle plow the snow in the driveway.

Tyce wasn't a huge fan of riding on the sled, but he gave it a good try.

Our Week

So again we went fishing this week and it was colder than ever. Kade and Kyle decided to brave the cold wind and icy temperature, but Tyce and I stayed in the truck where is was nice and warm.

Tyce making faces while we waited for Kade and Kyle to catch some fish.

I also wanted to add these photo's of Kade hiding in the laundry (he thought that he was pretty cool) and of Tyce and Kyle goofing around. I just love my boys....and I think that they are pretty cute too!

I finally got Tyce walking on video, but it won't let me upload the video on blogger...has anyone else had this problem?

Catching Up

I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone, but I am proud to say that my shopping is done, my presents are wrapped, my Christmas tree is up, and my lights are hung....and for that I am thankful.

I am also Thankful for my family. My family means the world to me. This Thanksgiving I am especially thankful for my Grandpa Hansen. My grandpa just turned 80 years old this summer and last Monday he had to have surgery to correct 8 aortic aneurysms. My grandpa is such a great guy. He has always been there for me and loves all of us so much. Also, the way that my grandpa loves my grandma is amazing. I didn't know that two people could be so in love with each other. I am so grateful that the surgery went well and that Grandpa can be with us a lot longer.
Here are some pictures of Thanksgiving at the Larsen's (which was held today due to the birth of my new nephew Tyler Larsen who was born on the 25th...Congrats Kenny and Elisha)

Tyce making his funny fish face at his daddy.....what a cute kid!!

Every year, after Thanksgiving dinner, we all (yes even the adults)make our own Christmas Stocking. They turn out really dumb, but it is fun for the kids to do. Kyle's mom actually hangs them all up too. I would just die if I had to hang 25 glitter glued stockings in my house....Glad they stay there!!

Me and Kade diligently working on our stockings (Kade is really into this can't you tell)

My cute little Tycee Wycee!!

This morning before dinner we put up our Christmas tree and yes...its fake!! I have NEVER had a fake tree, but this year I decided to give it a try. I decorated the tree with all of Kade's toy cows, horses, and tractors. I added my kids old cowboy boots, ropes, barb wire, and barn stars to make the cutest cowboy tree ever. I did miss going up on the mountain to cut a tree and the smell of a fresh cut tree, but I just put Christmas Tree scent in my candle warmer and then it was perfect.

Kade thought that it was pretty cool that we would put a tree up in our house. He also had fun helping his dad drill holes in the tops of the tractors.

Finally, I decided to add this picture of Tyce. The other day, we decided to go fishing again. This time, Tyce and I stayed in the truck because it was freezing outside. This is Tyce chilling (literally) in the truck waiting for dad to catch a few fish.

Tyce is getting so big. I can't believe that he will be turning 1 soon. He has started walking and I can't wait to get it on camera so that I can post it. He's my little sweetie pie!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope that you had a great holiday!

Fishing Fun

The other day, we decided to take the kids fishing up Ferron Moutain. It was such a pretty drive. We ended up seeing a bunch of deer and a few bull elk. We also caught some really pretty fish. The kids had fun until they got cold.

Our Saturday Adventure

Kyle had to work all weekend so me and my sisters decided to take the kids for a fun day in Price. We first went to Sheralds to get some lunch and some ice cream. Then we went to the Dino Mine Park which is so much fun! The kids had a ball and played for like 2 hours. Then to finish the afternoon we took the kids to see Madagascar. This was the first time that I have ever really taken Kade to the movies and he did...okay. He kept saying "mom its over now, we can go." 2 hours in a movie theater was kind of hard for him, but he made it to the end. The movie was DUMB!!!! Okay, It wasn't that bad. It just reminded me A LOT of The Lion King. All in all, it was a fun day.
