Merry Christmas 2009

What a GREAT Christmas! Snow.....yummy food.....family.....presents.....there is nothing better.

Kade was able to visit with Santa 3 times this year. Once at the Town Christmas party, next at the ward Christmas party, and finally at Preschool. Here he is letting Santa know that he wants LOTS OF TOYS.

Christmas Eve was a really busy day. We started at 11:00am at my Grandma Reid's house where we visited with everyone and had sloppy joe's (some went without buns....and if you were lucky, you got a plate to eat it on....and if you were REALLY fortunate you received a cup to have a swig of sprite in).
At 2:00 the Hansen family met at Salt Lake Knoll for some tubing action. He had so much fun sledding and drinking hot chocolate with each other. Of course my goofy cousins almost got themselves killed on their gigantic tube, but it's not a Hansen party without some craziness!

We then moved the party to the fire station where we played games, ate chilly and opened presents. Grandma and Grandpa Hansen gave Tyce and Kade some slippers and which they loved. We always have a blast with the Hansen's!

Playing some games

On our way back to CD, Jamie's family hit a cow. Luckily everyone was okay.......can't say that about the van (or the cow)! They had to borrow my mom's truck to get back to Central so that Santa could come.

Finally us Larsen's ended up at Kyle's mom and dad's just in time for the grandkids to open their Christmas pj's. At about 10:00pm, we got home to get the boys to bed so that Santa could work his magic. And this is what he brought Christmas morning:

The boys were so excited. They loaded up this year! A few favorites were the Train table, the Bat Cave, and the new Cool School Computer. Grandma Jo came by at about 8:30 t0 see what the boys got and then at about 10:00am Grandma Laurie and Grandpa came for breakfast. We ended up just spending the rest of the day playing with all of our Toys. Kyle gave me a Cricut Expressions (wahoo!!!) and some perfume and I gave Kyle a chainsaw and a new belt.

The day after Christmas we went back to Ferron for the Larsen's party. Dinner wasn't quite ready, so Kyle took the kids for a ride in the snow behind the 4-wheeler.
After having dinner we opened presents.
Now Christmas is officially over. The tree is now down, the decorations are all put away and the toys are in the toy room...... Now we can rest! Oh wait.....never mind! We are heading up North tomorrow for a fun filled day of Jumping Jacks and shopping! Yeah!

Grandma Jo's Awesome Christmas Party

We officially had our first Christmas party at my mom's house on Saturday and it is going to be tough to beat.
We started the party with a hunt for Santa's reindeer. As part of the hunt, we all had to ride on the back of the trailer to several destinations. At each destination we had a task or activity to complete. Other than it being FREEZING the hunt was great. The hunt ended at the farm with a fire and hot chocolate and then moved to my mom's house for yummy food, games, and of course PRESENTS.
Kade got a Thomas the Train set and a remote control truck. Tyce got a motorcycle and a barn. Kyle and I got dinner and a movie and a new Nikon cool pic camera.
Thanks mom for the great party.....you are one AWESOME Grandma!

Here is a pic of everyone riding on the trailer to find those missing reindeerEnjoying our fire and hot chocolate at the farm

Tyce is 2.....Wahoo!

I can't believe that my baby is two today. He is getting so big and I am just not ready for that yet. Tyce is definitely the destroyer in our house. He makes a disaster no matter what he is doing. It seems like I spend most of my day following him around cleaning up his messes. Even though he is a little terror, he is the sweetest little turd. He cracks me up with his funny facial expressions and I love it when he yells "Jana...where ya at". Tyce is always having a good time and he is tougher than nails. I love my little Tycee Wycee so much and can't imagine going one minute without him.
Tonight we had Tyce a birthday party and all of his cousins came. It was crazy....it was loud.....but it was fun. Tyce actually didn't want much to do with it, but all of the other kids had a blast. I decided to have a construction themed party because Tyce LOVES tractors.
Here is a picture of his cake. I had so much fun dreaming this one up.

Everyone at the party had to wear their construction hats.
Me and my little man

I am excited to see what the future holds for this little ball of fire. I have enjoyed every minute of the past few years and I can't wait for several more. I love you Tyce....Love Mom!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

This morning we woke up to a boat load of snow and we haven't stopped playing in it since. I love the snow......especially at Christmas time. It just wouldn't be Christmas without it.
The last time I saw this much snow was up at USU. It snowed so much that they canceled school for the day (something they hadn't done in years). That day we all walked up to the HPER field to play football. There was so much snow on the field that it went up to our waists. It was amazing. We had so much fun that day.

Here is a picture of the snow at my house. Kyle had to work today so I was so grateful to see my bro in law Jared ride up the hill with his plow.

Kade, Abby, and Tylee riding the sled down the hill by Grandma Jo's

A little stuck....but loving it!

Kade trying to make a snow angel. The snow was just too deep for his little arms to push.
I am loving the snow today, but when I have to drive to Price to school in it tomorrow.....I might change my mind.

Solider Hollow

Have I ever mentioned that I have the greatest mom ever? Well I do. My mom bought all of us tickets to go tubing up at Solider Hollow yesterday which was a BLAST.
So what happens is you get a tube and then they hook the tube (with you on it) to this pullley that takes you to the top of the hill and you tube down......I don't think it gets any better than that!
Kade had a ball....he loved ever minute of it. As soon as we got to the bottom of the hill we would say "lets go again". He never complained of being cold or scared, he just lauged the entire time. He was such a trooper.
After we finished tubing, we went down into the town of Midway for their Swiss Christmas. We walked through homeade gingerbread houses, we got to decorate our own gingerbread cookies, and we got to walk through thousands of nativity scenes. We finished off our day by going back down into Orem for dinner at Applebee's.
It was such a fun day. But it always fun when you get to hang out with us Jeffs. He like adventure!
Thanks mom!

Tyce didn't get to sled because he was too little....so he just chilled at the bottom
