I'm So Sorry Tyce

Kade's hair was getting a little long, so today I decided to get out my scissors and cut it. Well after I was all done with Kade's hair I thought....."why not trim Tyce's hair". Well, I was planning on just trimming a little off of the top when Kyle told me to just use the clippers....Bad Idea! I pretty much buzzed his hair completely off! He looks so funny now. I feel so bad! Thank goodness that it will grow back in a few weeks. In the meantime Tyce will probably be wearing his hat!
The best pictures I could get were when he was having his dinner.

He is still the cutest 8 month old...even with a buzz cut!

School Already?

Yes, school (work) officially started today and I survived. For the 1st day of school we hauled our students to Provo to a Ropes Course. I don't know about my students, but I had a blast!! I started out on the zip line....I had to climb up this 50 foot pole and then I ziplined to the bottom. It was tough. I didn't realize how out of shape I was. I was so proud of myself when I got to the top, and the ride down was awesome. Next we went canoeing. Well, I was set to go with two of my students in this canoe and right as I sat in, I leaned a little to one side and I dumped myself out. I climbed out of the freezing cold water, soaked from head to toe and decided to try it one more time. This time I got in safety, but my student did not and she tipped all three of us over. Everyone was laughing at us and taking our picture. I was soaked the rest of the day and I smelled like dirty fish water the entire bus ride home. I spent the rest of the day getting kids off of the zip line......but what a great team building day it was for Pinnacle Canyon! Go Panthers!!! (Sorry, I have no pictures of the eventful day)

Camping for the Bow Hunt

It's hunting season again and once again opening morning was unsuccessful. Kyle hunts mussle loader but my brothers in law both bow hunt, so we all went camping with them. We camped up Huntington Canyon and boy was the weather great! The kids had a ball playing with their dump trucks in the dirt and us girls enjoyed relaxing my the camp fire. Within the first 10 minutes of camping, Kade was covered in dirt from head to toe and he stayed that way the entire weekend. I can't wait for Kyle's big hunt so that we can go camping one last time before we have to pack things away for winter. Here Kade comes racing down the road with his dump truck
The kids played with their dump trucks all day long. Dad and Tyce

Huntington Lake, 4-wheeler Ride, and the Castle Valley Pageant

My niece Kelsey had her 2nd birthday party at Huntington Lake last Sunday. The kids all had so much fun swimming and playing in the mud. Yes...we missed church (dang it!), but we had a blast.
Kade loved playing in the mud (and throwing it at everyone).
Kelsey and Kade running in and out of the water
Tyce LOVED the water. He could have played in it all day
Yesterday we decided to go on a 4-wheeler ride with Jasa and Jared. The boys wanted to ride up Gentry Mountain to look for deer so we headed up at 6:00pm. I didn't have a babysitter for Tyce so I threw him on the 4-wheeler with us. Well, about 1/2 hour into the ride it started looking really cloudy. We just kept on riding and it got worse and worse. We didn't know if it would be smart to wait it out...or keep riding. Well, needless to say.....we all got soaked. Tyce's first 4-wheeler ride wasn't that pleasant, but he was a good sport.

Here is a video of me riding in the flag ceremony for the Castle Valley Pageant. This was my 13th year riding in the pageant and I am sad that it is already over. I love racing my horse down that hill into the pond. It is kind of a rush! I hope that you enjoy the video....it is only of me, not of the entire ceremony. There are 6 riders (Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force, and the American Flag...in this video I think I am carrying the Navy). ENJOY: (you might want to mute my tunes)

Emery County Fair

Every year I look forward to attending the Emery County Fair and this year was no exception. Emery County is the greatest place in the world to live and you really realize it when you see all of the work that they put into the fair for the citizens. The fair starts on Thursday and goes until Saturday and each day is filled with fun entertainment and booths for the kids. This year a hypnotist came and he was so funny.
Each year the fair ends with a FREE concert. This year is was Western Underground (Chris Ledoux's band). They were awesome! They sang a lot of Chris Ledoux's old songs and some awesome new ones of their own. They also gave a nice tribute to Chris Ledoux. It was a great concert....I just miss Chris Ledoux coming out and riding the mechanical bull.
I am sad that the fair is already over, but there is always next year.

Tyce and Kade at the parade. Tyce decided that since he couldn't get up and catch the candy himself, that he would just steal it from my neice's bag.

Here is a picture of Kade and the girls waiting for the parade to start (Kelsey, Abby, Kade, Tylee)
