Happy Birthday Jess

My sweet baby Jess is Two!  I can't believe it!  Jess turned two on the Saturday of the riding club meet, so we had him a little train party right after at Huntington Lake.

Eating Jess's Favorite food:  Hot dogs!

Cheese!!  Don't you love how dirty he is.  We literally went straight from the riding club meet to the lake, we didn't even have time to wash is face!  He's still pretty dang cute though!

 Opening presents

It was such a fun little birthday!  I am the luckiest mom in the world to call this sweet little man my baby!  I love him so much and don't know what I would do without him.  Love ya jessaroo!

Dust Riders

This was Kade's first year of riding club and he ROCKED it!  3 times a week for the entire summer we got up early and went to riding club.  Sometimes it wasn't fun, and sometimes getting up was really hard, but on Saturday at their final meet....all their hard work paid off.  Not only did the Dust Riders kill the drill and parade, but they won most of their races too.  They did so good and I was so proud of them.

Like tradition, at the last riding club practice, the kids all loaded up in the back of Lana's horse trailer to go get a pop at the gas station.  Here they are before they loaded up with their new hats on.

Getting ready to ride down to the store

They made it!  I was thinking about it, and only in Emery County can you load 25 kids in your horse trailer and take them down to get a pop.  I love it!

Back to the meet: Tyce was glad that Grandpa Larsen came to watch the meet so that he could have a pal.

The races were so much fun to watch.  Kade made most of the teams, and he did really well.  His Keyhole team took first so he won a cool trophy.  He also took 3rd in the crawl through, the poles, and the long barrels.  The coolest part about the meet was the Kade was able to do the cloverleaf individual and won 3rd place!  It was awesome!
It was a really long day, but very rewarding. I was super proud of my little Cowboy!

Emery County Rodeo and Fair

I just love summer and one of my favorite summer activities is going to the Rodeo.  It isn't the same without my dad, but it is still pretty special.  We attended all three nights of the rodeo, and each night Tyce was a superhero.  Here he was on the first night as yours truly SUPERMAN!
I am pretty sure that I have the cutest little cowboys around.

This year they added mutton bustin to the rodeo agenda.  Of course my boys signed up for the adventure.  Here is a picture of all of the boys that rode.  On this particular night Tyce wore his full on superman outfit and was awarded 6 extra points on his ride for it......it was hilarious!
Here's Kyle helping Kade on the sheep.  Kade so bad wanted to win.  He came in 2nd almost every time he rode.
 No pain no gain
Also this year, Derek Favors from the Jazz came to the high school for a little clinic.  Kade thought he was pretty cool.....Tyce was like "whatever".

We really enjoyed getting our bikes all decorated for the big kids parade this year.  The kids rode from the high school to the swimming pool where they had a free BBQ and fun games for the kids.
The "Jeffs Crew" made up half the kids in the parade!
We didn't spend too much time down to the fair, but we did make it to the fishing pond.

The concert was also a blast this year,  It was Lost Trailers and Glen Templeton.  They were both a lot of fun.  Jess and Tyce fell asleep, but Kade danced and had a good old time the entire concert.
Finally we hit the parade.  It was super long, but the kids caught a ton of candy so I guess it was worth it.
We found this superhero watching over the town at the parade.  He was so brave and strong!
