PHS Class of 2009

A few of the Greatest Teachers at PCA (especially that Mrs. Larsen...I heard that she is awesome)!
Wahoo!!! They actually did it! This year was Pinnacle's 1st year to have a graduating class and I was there to witness the memorable event. The graduation was awesome. The graduates entered the theatre following the Carbon High drum line (which was awesome) and then us teachers came next. The speakers were great and I will have to admit, I was a little teary eyed when our boys choir got up and sang "I am the greatest". I have taught these particular students since they were in the sixth grade so it was kind of hard to let them go. I have been through all of their life experiences and to see them go from a hormonal 8th grader to an adult was amazing. I wish them all of the luck in the world and I will definitely miss each and every one of them. GO PANTHERS!!

WHAT A WEEKEND!!

We have had a busy weekend.....here is what we did:

On Thursday we took Kade up to Heber to see Thomas the Train and the Heber Creeper. Kade was in heaven. He loved the train ride and he loved seeing Thomas. As for Kyle and I.....LAME!! I can't believe that we drove 2 1/2 hours to go on a 10 minute train ride.....I guess it was worth it because Kade serious couldn't believe that we went all the way to the "island of Sodar" to ride Thomas. We also got to stop and visit Lauren and Cam which was great!

For Memorial weekend we took the trailer out to Flat Canyon for a camp out. When we got there it immediately started raining. I figured that it would just blow over and we would have a great time......boy was I wrong! It rained the entire time. Finally Saturday afternoon, we decided to pack up and come home. We ended up having fun at the house, but Sunday afternoon we decided to give it another try with a 4-wheeler ride. The weather was cooperating pretty well until we were at the highest point of Trail Mountain.....that is when it decided to hail. After it started hailing, the lightning started. That is when we decided to get the heck out of there. By the time we got back to camp, our faces were numb from the pelting hail balls and frozen from the rain. I have rode is hail before when I worked for the forest service, but never with my babies. Kade actually got so cold from the ride, that he had a fever the next day. He also had a nightmare that night about the rain. Tyce seemed to be just fine. It was quite the experience.

Finally hanging out at the farm......Kyle gathered the cows off of the desert at the first of the week while we were at school. He found most of them, but we are still out a few. Now that the cows are home, Kade and Tyce finally get to feed them everyday. Feeding the cows is Tyce's favorite part of the day. He loves to moo at the cows and if he could, he would get right in the corals with them. The bull sure doesn't like Tyce.....he snorts and shakes his head at him every time he gets out of the truck. It is really funny!! We actually got a new bull this year. He is a nice looking bull (with excellent testicular width...according to the papers...HE HE). He is a black Gelbvieh bull and we hope that he does the job. My dad LOVED to run Gelbvieh cows....so I know that he would be proud of our choice. This is Kyle's new horse Angel. She is so pretty....and fast!

Boating at Huntington Lake

After our Mother's Day dinner at Jasa's house, we decided to take Jasa's new boat out for a spin on Huntington Lake. The water was FREEZING but the boat ride was awesome. Kade loved wading around in the freezing water and Tyce loved throwing rocks into it. They both thought that riding the boat was great....especially when we would ride past the ducks. I can't wait until the weather gets warm so that we can go skiing!

Happy Birthday Kade

Kade's 3rd birthday was on Friday and I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He has been waiting for this birthday since Tyce's back in December. Kade had to have a race car birthday because he LOVES Lightning McQueen. All of his cousins and friends came to the party and it was a blast. We had some races on a racetrack in the yard, had a cone walk, through water balloons through a tire, and had a really fun pinata. The best part was the cake (homemade by yours truly). It was really funny because the frosting made everyone's mouth black. Playing games

I can't believe that Kade is already 3. He is such a sweet little guy and the life of the party. He makes me laugh everyday and he is so polite. I love you Kaders and I hope that you have another great year full of adventure!
