Fishing, 4-H Camp, Hayden's Wedding, Castle Dale Days

WOW....What a long post!
Sunday was such a nice day that we had to get on the 4-wheelers and go for a ride. We rode all over Ferron Mountain starting at Hunter's Highway. It was perfect weather and SO pretty. The mountain was covered in blue bells. We stopped down in McEwan Flat to fish for awhile and the kids decided that they needed to splash around too. It was a really fun ride.....church next Sunday for sure!

Saturday was Hayden's wedding. We are so excited for him and Kylie. They make a great couple! The wedding was at a hotel in Price so it seemed like all I did was chase my boys around the pool. But when the dance started, Kade pulled out some awesome dance moves. It was a lot of fun and I know that they will be happy together.
This is a picture of all of my cousins on the Hansen side. We are all super close and we do a lot together. Mess with one, and you mess with us all.
Last Thurday I took Kade to 4-H camp. He made butter, stick horses, ice cream, yo-yo's, and he dipped a candle. It was a really fun day for Kade. U-T-A-H utah, utah, 4-h!
Finally Kade had a blast at the Castle Dale Days little buckaroo rodeo. Kade raced his stick horse named Mater all the way down the arena and on his way back "Mater bucked him off". He was the cutest cowboy out there. We decided to just let Tyce run without a stick horse. He would have won if he would have turned around and came back, but he just kept running. It was a good time.

Branding 2009

Branding Calves is one of my favorite times of the year. There is just something about the smell of burning hide that makes me happy to be a cowgirl, and so glad that I grew up the way that I did.
This year everyone came to help out, so we decided to have a hot dog roast. The kids had a ball helping Kyle brand, tag, and castrate the calves. There was only one thing missing......Grandpa Jay. Hanging out on the top of the shed

Roasting hot dogs...yum!

Everyone

Tyce was having fun just running around like a crazy man. He found the swather and decided to play on it for awhile
Then he wanted to play hide and seek in the pens. Thank goodness grandma Jo was there to keep track of our monster while I helped run the shoot.
Our newest addition

Crazy kids
The kids were upstairs in my bedroom one morning watching cartoons while I ran down stairs to throw a load of laundry in the wash. When I got back up to them, this is what I saw......both Kade and Tyce covered from head to toe in black and red permanent Sharpie marker.

Tyce is such a clown. It cracked me up the other day when he put the football potty on his head and said "hat"! What a funny boy!

Timpanogos Cave

Wow....what a climb! Today we took the kids on a mighty hike to see Timpanogos Cave. Kade was such a trooper and he never complained until his legs started to hurt on the way down. He worked his little muscles hard the entire 1000 ft climb and I was so proud of him. Kade's favorite part of the cave was the rock that looked like a "canimal" (camel) and my favorite part was the heart of Timpanogos. It was a really fun trip that ended in a dip at the Legacy Center swimming pool in Lehi. I debated on taking Tyce with me, but I am glad that I left him home with aunt Angie (who just got engaged last weekend........congrats)! Hopefully when we take our next trip to Timpanogos, Kyle won't have to work.

Fish Lake

We thought that it would be fun to go to fish lake for the day for a picnic and to fish. I got my kids dressed in their shorts and sandals and we headed out. As we were driving I started to notice the temperature dropping from 70 degree's to 50 degree's and finally at Fish Lake 38 degrees......it was FREEZING. Well, thank goodness Jamie had an extra jacket that my boys could wear and I found an expensive hoodie at the Lodge so we survived the day. The boat ride was not worth it for sure. It was so cold and Tyce's life jacket was so tight around his coat that he was miserable. Oh well, another memorable experience with the Jeffs' family!

Softball, Blog Book, and Jamie's Birthday

It's softball time again!! Every summer I play softball on the women's slow pitch league and I love it! This year I am playing in Price and in Emery County so it seems like I am always playing softball. The ladies that I play with in Price are all faculty and staff at PHS so we have a blast! We might not be the best team, but we definitely have the most fun!

This picture cracks me up!

I have wanted to make my blog into a journal for a long time but never did my research. The other day, I decided to check it out. That is when I found blurb.com. All I had to do was "slurp" my blog into blurb and what do you know.....a blog book. Isn't it awesome!!
Finally, last night me, my mom, Jodi, and Jasa headed to Richfield to take Jamie out to dinner for her Birthday. It was so nice to see Jamie and to hang out with just us girls. Jamie is building a home in Central Valley and is living in Monroe until it is finished. We wish her the best in getting her mansion built...and happy, happy birthday!

School is finally out....and summer has now began! Can't wait!!
