6 Weeks

Yesterday Jess turned 6 weeks old. I can't believe how fast he is growing although he is the smallest baby I have ever raised. He is such a sweet little baby and he just loves all the attention he gets from his brothers :)! We love him so much and can't imagine life without him.

Life is short

We have had quite the past few days......nothing I would wish on anyone! Jodi and Russ headed to Price for a date so my mom took her kids down to the farm to look for deer. When it was time to leave, the kids jumped in the back of the truck but Colton stopped to pick up a bug near the front tire. My mom had no idea that he hadn't jumped in with the other kiddos and ran over him. Luckily Devin had his cell phone and my mom was able to call 911. The ambulance took Colton to Castleview and then they life flighted him to Primary Children's.

Needless to say, Colton is doing good. He has broken BOTH of his femurs (but not on the growth plate). They inserted two rods in each leg and are confident that he will heal really well. His spine is okay and the CT scan looked great. He is such a awesome kid who has a BIG future in front of him. Even thought football and basketball are out of the question this year......baseball will be calling and Colton will be kicking butt and taking names.

As far as my mom goes, she is having a hard time. I just want to let her know that I love her so much and that their is not a better mom or grandma in the entire world. I have never met such a fun and outgoing person in my life. She loves her grandkids so much and they think the world of her. She is one tough cookie and has been to hell and back the past few years. She is my rock and my hero and will always be.

I love you both. I know that it is going to be a long recovery. We have been through a lot together so we can make it through this.

Stop...Drop...and Roll!

Today Kade had a preschool field trip to the fire station and Tyce and I tagged along. The fireman taught the kids about fire safety and he gave them a hat and a coloring book. Next all of the kids got to go and spray the fire hose, which was the best part of all. The kids were all so cute, especially Kade and Tyce.

1st Day of Preschool

Wahoo.....Kade finally started Preschool. We have both been looking forward to this day for a while because Kade has been so bored at home. His open house was on Wednesday and Kade ran through the door and said "Lightning McQueen coming through". It was really funny. He is getting so big and so independent. I am not sure if I am ready for him to grow up so fast.

Here he is ready to head out
This year Kelsey gets to go with him to preschool and since they are best buds, Kade is pumped!

One Last HOORAH!

On Friday we took off for our last camping trip of the season. The trip was definitely bitter sweet because I love to camp and am not sure that I want fall to come.
The boys had a ball playing with their cousins and I never once had to entertain them. Jess also did really well for his first camping trip even though he spent most of his time in the trailer.
Here is Jess in the truck ready to head up the mountain
We went on a little hike with the kids down to Mammoth Reservoir. Here they are posing for my picture.
Tyce couldn't help himself when he saw this mud. He had to jump in.

Here are me and Jess enjoying the few minutes he got to be outside
This is how Tyce looked the entire time we camped. I can't keep that boy clean!
