WHAT A WEEKEND!!

We have had a busy weekend.....here is what we did:

On Thursday we took Kade up to Heber to see Thomas the Train and the Heber Creeper. Kade was in heaven. He loved the train ride and he loved seeing Thomas. As for Kyle and I.....LAME!! I can't believe that we drove 2 1/2 hours to go on a 10 minute train ride.....I guess it was worth it because Kade serious couldn't believe that we went all the way to the "island of Sodar" to ride Thomas. We also got to stop and visit Lauren and Cam which was great!

For Memorial weekend we took the trailer out to Flat Canyon for a camp out. When we got there it immediately started raining. I figured that it would just blow over and we would have a great time......boy was I wrong! It rained the entire time. Finally Saturday afternoon, we decided to pack up and come home. We ended up having fun at the house, but Sunday afternoon we decided to give it another try with a 4-wheeler ride. The weather was cooperating pretty well until we were at the highest point of Trail Mountain.....that is when it decided to hail. After it started hailing, the lightning started. That is when we decided to get the heck out of there. By the time we got back to camp, our faces were numb from the pelting hail balls and frozen from the rain. I have rode is hail before when I worked for the forest service, but never with my babies. Kade actually got so cold from the ride, that he had a fever the next day. He also had a nightmare that night about the rain. Tyce seemed to be just fine. It was quite the experience.

Finally hanging out at the farm......Kyle gathered the cows off of the desert at the first of the week while we were at school. He found most of them, but we are still out a few. Now that the cows are home, Kade and Tyce finally get to feed them everyday. Feeding the cows is Tyce's favorite part of the day. He loves to moo at the cows and if he could, he would get right in the corals with them. The bull sure doesn't like Tyce.....he snorts and shakes his head at him every time he gets out of the truck. It is really funny!! We actually got a new bull this year. He is a nice looking bull (with excellent testicular width...according to the papers...HE HE). He is a black Gelbvieh bull and we hope that he does the job. My dad LOVED to run Gelbvieh cows....so I know that he would be proud of our choice. This is Kyle's new horse Angel. She is so pretty....and fast!

Sounds like you had the same kind of weekend we did, but we still had a good time. Your boys are so cute.

Looks like we both enjoyed the same camping weather :) Thomas the train looked fun, I'm glad that Kade loved it.
