Summer is in full swing!

Summer is under way at our house and we are enjoying every minute of it!  We are staying super busy with things like fishing, swimming, and most of all cowboying.
Kyle has a secret fishing hole that he takes the boys and the fish are HUGE.  Here are a few of the fish we caught:

Baseball this year was a BLAST to watch.  Kade is quite the ball player.  He is getting so big and so good at sports.  I was one proud mama in the stands cheering on my little Yankee.
Kade and Tyce have also been riding their horses a ton. It was time to bring cows off the desert and they rode the entire way to the farm getting those cows where they needed to be.  Again....very proud mom.

Here was my cute driving partner!
It seems like if we aren't on our horses, or not playing baseball, we are swimming.  We have spent a ton of time at both the pool here in town and up at 7 peaks.  My kids love the water and have become great little swimmers.

Kade and Tyce had swimming lessons right after school got out.  Kade did so well the first day that he was moved up to a higher class.  I couldn't believe how well he was swimming.  I can't swim as well as he did.  Tyce.....well, he is a great swimmer too.....if he would just DO IT!  He wanted to run around instead of listen. He looks pretty cute in his goggles though!

We graze our cows on the desert or mountain almost all year round, so our cows were only home for about 3 weeks before we were herding them up the moutain.  We did it on a Friday night when it was nice and cool and this was our view coming off the trail.
Kade and Tyce were once again my riding partners.  They did a great job helping me get the cows up the mountain.  I couldn't have done it without my cute cowboys.
Finally, we spent my sisters birthday at Huntington Lake and we all had so much fun catching craw dads and riding on the boat.

Hopefully the next few weeks goes by really slow so that we can continue to enjoy or summer.  We can't wait to have a few more camping trips, horse rides, and good times with family.

Kade's Kindergarten Program

I am still having a hard time believing that Kade is already done with kindergarten.  This year has just flown by, but I know that Kade loved every minute of it.  Kade learned so much this year and is the best little reader ever.

Doesn't Kade look handsome?

Kade and Mrs. Norton aka Aunt Jasa
Kade was lucky to be able to be in the same class as his cousins Kelsey and Chase.  They made quite the trio!

We can't wait to see what 1st grade brings.....but for now we are just excited to party it up this summer!

MY BOYS!

Being the mom to ALL BOYS means you better like BASEBALL, HORSES, and of course FISHING!  But how could you not like all of those things when you are hanging with the cutest little boys on the planet!

Kade has ROCKED at the pitching machine this year.  He hits a triple every time he gets up to bat and you should see this boy field the ball....nothing goes by Kade.  This is one proud mom!

The boys have also done really well at their rodeo playdays.  Kade has taken the reins and done it all by himself and Tyce's grin while riding is the best!
Kade and Kelsey taking a ride on Roxy

Jess LOVES Roxy,  He would have stayed on her all day long if he could have.

3 of the cutest cowboys I have EVER seen.....and they are all mine!

We have definitely been on our fair share of fishing trips.  The boys can't get enough of it!  Tyce always says that he is going to be the best fisherman when he grows up, but I think that he is pretty impressive right now!  He ALWAYS catches fish, and they are always lunkers!  Kade is the determined one.  He outlasts all of us!

You can't beat hanging out with these hunks!  I love my boys!

Happy Birthday Kader Potater!

Kade turned 6 yesterday and boy did we celebrate!  This lucky 6 year old got to have 2 parties this year...and they were both a success!
This is the invitation to his friend party.  Kade is a quite the Yankee's fan so we had to go all out and have a Yankee's themed birthday party.

There were 19 kindergarten kids at the party so it was a little bit chaotic, but the kids had a blast.

Kade's cake turned out great! Look at that cute kid!

Kade's 2nd party was a little later that night at the swimming pool.  This party was for all cousins.  We ate cake, opened presents, and then headed into the pool for a fun time.

The day flew by so fast and I was completely wore out by the time all of the parties were over.  Kade said that it was the best birthday ever, so I guess it was worth it.
Happy Birthday Kader!  I love you so much!

Easter 2012

Easter is my favorite holiday. I love getting my trailer ready and heading to the desert for good food, baseball, volleyball, 4-wheelers, campfires, and dirt.
Before we headed out to the desert we had to stop by Cheddar Field and Stewarts, the local grocery store, for their annual Easter Eggs hunts. My boys cleaned up at both. Here is Jess at the Cheddar Field Hunt.
Checking out their loot at Cheddar FieldAfter the hunts, we got home and painted our Easter Eggs. Kade took it super serious and needed to make lots of New York Yankee eggs, Tyce lost interest after a few, but the eggs he pained needed to be superhero red. We started out our camping trip with kite flying thanks to Grandma Jo. Flying kites was a cinch in the Emery County wind. We spent a lot of our time just hanging out.The Easter bunny found us again this year and the boys were loving it. They each got a bunch of candy and new baseball bats. The Easter bunny hid their eggs, and we were up bright and early looking for them. Sporting their new hats....and a green lantern mask?Jess was so cute. He loved looking for his eggs and the best part was when he threw them as hard as he could in his bucket. He spent most of the weekend attached to Grandma Jo.....he absolutely LOVES her. Gotta love hanging by the fire!Another tradition we have for Easter is to roll (throw, chuck, squish) our eggs down a hill. The kids think that it is just great. Easter was great! I wished that we didn't have to come home!
